Privacy policy

Who is responsible
The data controller is Fabio Aulico, trading as Guardrail Press, based in Switzerland. Questions about this policy or your data go to hello@governorfail.com.
What we collect
Your email address, and only when you type it into the signup form yourself. If you reach us through the Quadrant assessment, we also store your result (for example "reckless") so we can send the matching edition. We do not ask for your name, we do not buy lists, and we collect nothing else through the form.
The assessment stays in your browser
The Quadrant assessment runs entirely on your device. Your individual answers are never transmitted to us or anyone else. Only if you choose to submit the email form on the result screen do your email address and your final result position leave your browser.
Why we collect it
To send you your edition of the Debt Quadrant instrument, to notify you when the book launches, and to send occasional essays. That is the entire purpose. The legal basis is your consent, given when you confirm your subscription.
Double opt-in
After you sign up, we send one email asking you to confirm. If you do not click to confirm, we do nothing further and your address is not added to the list.
Who processes your email
Our email is handled by Kit (Kit.com, Inc.), based in the United States. Storing your address with Kit means it is transferred to and processed in the US; Kit provides the safeguards required for such transfers. We do not share your address with anyone else.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
Your rights
Under the EU GDPR and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) you can request access to your data, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to hello@governorfail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless, sets nothing on your device, and collects no personal data — which is why this site needs no cookie banner.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version and its date appear on this page.
